ActuallyThoughtful is a gift discovery website at actuallythoughtful.com. We are not a store — we help you find the right gift, then send you to the retailers who sell it.

Quiz answers. Your quiz answers stay in your browser session only. Nothing is sent to a server or stored on our end. When you close the tab, they're gone.

Affiliate link clicks. When you click a gift link, the retailer's affiliate network tracks the click on their end. We receive aggregate commission data — not who clicked or when.

Standard web analytics. Page views, general location, and device type via Vercel Analytics. Nothing that identifies you personally.

No account creation, no passwords. No payment information — we don't sell anything directly. No social media login. We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone for marketing.

We use affiliate links to retailers like Uncommon Goods, Viator, REI, Etsy, and MasterClass. When you click through to one of them, you're leaving our site and entering theirs. Those retailers have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies. If you make a purchase, we earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.

We use minimal cookies for session management — keeping your quiz results while you browse. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies when you click through to their sites.

ActuallyThoughtful has no user database. Your quiz answers and results exist only in your browser session storage. We don't store personal information on any server.

You can request access to any data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Just email us at hello@actuallythoughtful.com.

ActuallyThoughtful is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last changed.
